General Maintenance Operative

Maintenance, Repairs and Operations Ltd (mroltd.com) is a high end maintenance company working within London.

We are currently looking for a Sub-Contractor Field Engineers , to carry out planned maintenance, breakdowns, repairs and contract service maintenance to our clients in Central London and occasionally surrounding areas.

Immediate Start / Flexible working hours and negotiable / Great rates of pay

Responsibilities:

Full Days

  • When required carry out planned preventative maintenance checks across all properties within the MRO Ltd client base
  • Where necessary ensure each item of catering equipment/kitchen unit/kitchen installation is safe and fit for purpose.
  • Repair, service and installation of Commercial Catering and Refrigeration equipment.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Reactive maintenance, repair and breakdown of all general issues including commercial catering equipment within kitchens
  • Fault finding on both electrical and gas equipment.
  • To ensure that work is carried out to customers satisfaction.

Essential:

  • Minimum 1 – 2 years’ proven experience in a field-based engineering role including knowledge of catering equipment
  • Comcat 1,2,3,5
  • Gas Safe
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Customer focused: Courteous and professional, good customer service skills and the ability to build good relationships with customers.
  • Good organisational skills and time keeping
  • DBS ( will to go through the process)
  • FGAS Qualification/Trained (would also be an advantage)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Mechanical/plumbing experience (would also be an advantage)
  • Relevant electrical experience (18th, 17th edition or a similar qualification would also be an advantage)
  • We also require the following: £2 million Public Liability Insurance cover

Salary:

  • £175.00-£225.00 per day

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Base:

  • Greater London

Experience:

  • Plumbing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Comcat 1, 2, 3, 5 (required)
  • Driving Licence (required)
  • Gas Safe (required)
  • DBS (or willing to go through the process) Required

Accounting Assistant

A bespoke end-to-end property consulting, design and build company dealing with both Residential and Commercial clients within the London area are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks to support our business.

The Accounting Assistant responsibilities include managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices.

Candidates must have excellent attention to detail as well as a high level of verbal and written communication skills. They should also have a excellent level of computer literacy for this position. The ability to manage various workload volumes is also essential, as that might fluctuate daily.

Ultimately, this role will help support the smooth running of our Business, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Create and update expense reports
  • Enter all financial transactions in to Xero
  • Check spreadsheets for accuracy and amend accordingly
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits
  • Ensuring that all financial changes to a project are signed off and contracted
  • Creating profit and loss documentation for each individual project
  • Covering off all contracts for works with the clients and amending to suit
  • Dealing with the job tracking, in conjunction with the Project Managers
  • Dealing with daily job time sheets and converting them to invoices for the clients
  • Seek better trade deals for the company and negotiate on all costings.

Requirements and skills

  • Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiarity with finance regulations
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software including Xero
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • The ability to build and amend office systems to facilitate the smooth running of project finances.
  • Have a keen desire to pick up new skills and learn about the building industry
  • To have excellent client relations
  • Be adaptable and willing to pitch in and assist even if its not your specific field
  • To have a can do attitude and willingness to help
